History RelyOn Nutec Fire Academy

In 1985 the Rotterdam International Safety Centre (RISC) was founded by Smit International Tug and Salvage Company Ltd., the Dutch Security Service and the Rotterdam Harbour Authority. This training centre was founded to prepare the municipal and industrial fire brigades for large (petro)chemical incidents. In 2004 Falck A/S bought the RISC company and rebranded it in 2015 to Falck Fire Academy. In 2019 the Polaris company took over the global training activities of Falck including the Fire Academy and rebranded the fire training activities to RelyOn Nutec Fire Academy.
