,,What began as a summer job became a fine career at a wonderful company. In 1995, I arrived as a temporary worker at the training centre on the Maasvlakte, which was then still called RISC. The Director of that time, Lourens de Groot, was looking for a full-time management assistant. I liked the company immediately and so I accepted his offer, and now I've been working here for 25 years with great pleasure.''
Vision on safety
In this time, I've seen the business change and grow under the banner of RelyOn Nutec Fire Academy into the international knowledge and training centre that it is today; a place where we, together with the customers, make the world a little safer through knowledge and training. After all, that's what we're doing it for.”
,,In 2005, I moved to the sales department where I became responsible for the international customers, especially those from German-speaking countries, but also from elsewhere in the world. For me, that's the real charm of this position: to meet with other cultures and build lasting relationships with customers. I deal with all manners of practical issues for our foreign customers, such as organizing the course, flights, hotel accommodation and transportation to the Maasvlakte. I'm a perfectionist, so everything has to be right, from beginning to end. If a customer expresses his appreciation to me and goes home happy, because everything was impeccably done, then this gives me great satisfaction. That personal touch with our customers is important to me.''
