The performance of fluorinated foam has been under discussion for quite some time. Various companies and fire brigades want to make the transition to fluorine-free foam. However, the question is whether these foam can be a drop-in replacement for Fluorine based foams or whether there is more to it. To determine whether the foam has the correct extinguishing performance on your fuel risk, it is important to test and validate.

The foam testing facility at the RelyOn Nutec Fire Academy Maasvlakte training centre has been set up for foam concentrate manufacturers or end users to validate the performance of fluorine free foams (F3) on other fuel risks. Using EN 1568 or LastFire test protocols, we can provide valuable test data outside the standard test fuel requirements. Have peace of mind that the procurement of F3 foam is compatible with your fuel risks and will perform as expected.

Replacement fluorine free foams cannot always be used with the existing foam making equipment and may need adjustments to the settings, therefore we can also provide larger scale fire testing to validate that foam concentrate are compatible with the end users mixing and application systems. F3 foams may also need a different application technique from the responders. We can train those personnel on a variety of scenarios using the new foam with the responders equipment.

You are more than welcome to test your fluorine-free foam at our training centre. Together with our Business Consultants we will discuss your wishes, the possibilities and possible limitations due to our water purification installation. Based on the type of foam concentration and the scope of the test, we can assess whether your wishes are technically feasible.
