Target group
This course is intended for personnel who already have a basic working knowledge of breathing apparatus and an understanding of hazardous materials who are expected to work in environments that demand the use of gastight suits for personal protection.

Pre-requisites
Attendance on this training program is open to delegates who have completed a basic breathing apparatus wearers training.

Training program

  • The task and responsibilities of gastight suits wearers.
  • The hazards associated with wearing gastight suits.
  • Correct dressing and undressing procedures.
  • Decontamination and registration.
  • Emergency procedures.
  • Communication.

This course is according to NFPA standard 472.
